Mark handles all Intellectual Property matters for Spolar. Spolar views Mark as a part of a division with the Spolarized® corporations because he specializes in intellectual property law and nothing else. He has drafted over 700 U.S. patents for clients in 46 states and a number of other countries including France, Germany, Canada, and Hong Kong.

He is Special Counsel to the law firm, Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP and CEO of Inventorprise, Inc. Mark was admitted to the New York and Florida bars, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of New York and the Western District of Michigan, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member or former member of the Connecticut Patent Law Association; the Broome County Law Referral Service; the New York State Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section); the Florida Bar (member, Computer Law Committee); the Computer Law Association; and the Central New York Patent Law Association (president 1987, 1994).

Mark received degrees from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn – now Polytechnic of NYU (B.S. in Physics, 1970) and New York Law School (J.D., 1979). He also holds an M.A. degree in Creative Writing from Wilkes University, 2008.

Mark is an invited lecturer at Binghamton University and at Small Business Development Centers in a number of states. He was chairman of the MENSA International Ltd. Name & Logo (Trademarks) Committee, and of the MENSA International Ltd. Election Committee. He is the author of a wide range of online and printed articles, including: “Document Classification as a Form of Censorship” (Pollution Control Journal); “ Space Exploration” (Bulletin of Atomic Scientists); “Patenting Orchids” (American Orchid Society Bulletin); “Proliferation of Traffic Control Signals” (Journal of Irreproducible Results); and “Movie Making and the Law” (Videomaker Magazine). He is also a filmmaker. Over some 30 years, he has won numerous international contests with his short movies.
