BroomRealEstate - Eric Strong

eric strong

I met Eric at a party along with his wife, Karen. It didn’t take long before the two of us were conversing over the world of business opportunities. What I saw in Eric was his ability to stay focus, a characteristic hard to find. Eric is like a locomotive staying on track till he reaches his destination target. Anyone working in real estate understands the market depends on mortgage rates. Eric created a way for the owner to sell their property through his process, which makes it more affordable. Eric’s businesses, Sale by Owner, Binghamton Reality, and Broome Reality, are the best way for both the seller and the buyer to save money. Eric has proved to be worthy of his surname, Strong.

Lyrists Lounge (formerly known as the Kolodge Project)

lyricistA group of underground legions that worked the streets for open mic nights, opened the door for hundreds of acts. In the 90’s when I hit the streets of NYC, I stumbled onto Lyricist Lounge in a hotel on 34th & 8th . It was a place you wouldn’t write home about. A secret hole in the wall that put out good joints. Anthony, Blue & Wise had a special way of making me feel like I wasn’t out of place. They gave me props as they did with every artist they met.

Many of the artists utilized the services Lyricist Lounge had to offer. Events, mixed tapes, street teams, and underground airplay were their forte. Back in the days when parties and flyers were all that you seen on the streets of NYC, these guys worked it. Blue and I got away every February and August and flew to Vegas. This photo of us was taken during an event we went to in Vegas. Lyricist Lounge is true Underground Street workin’ legions of open mic nights.

Karen Callier

karen

To know her is to love her. She stands on her own two feet. She’s bold like a lion and fuzzy warm like a kitty purring. She’s a damn good single parent. Karen was a young lady when she befriended me.

I had just hit the streets of NYC and I didn't know a soul. I had no place to live so Karen hid me in her office where I slept on her sofa. She fed me my first collard greens and took me on my first subway ride. I saw my first cockroaches. Karen beat them down with a broom so I wouldn’t be eaten. She’s smart enough to know all of NYC has them. She’s courageous enough to tell the landlord to clean it up. She led me down dangerous paths and taught me not to fear. After shi**ing my pants enough times, I finally got the hang of things.

She doesn’t tolerate bullsh*t and doesn’t except no as an option. It’s easy to see why she was in the top 10% of her class. She’s held various jobs at executive levels. She truly deserves an orchid on her desk.
